HVAC Sheet Metal Fabricator

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Fabricate, assemble and design sheet metal for residential and commercial HVAC systems
• Assemble and repair sheet metal products and equipment
• Operate soldering and welding equipment
• Operate various sheet metal shears, brake presses, roll former, and other sheet metal operations
• Accurately measure, mark dimensions and reference lines on sheet metal
• Utilize strong math skills when studying plans and specifications to determine the kind and quantity of materials needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• All candidates must pass a pre-employment background check
• 1– 3 years of fabricating HVAC ductwork experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and rough sketches
• Thorough knowledge of sheet metal fabrication
• Ability to set up and operate various machines
• Must be able to use precision and standard measuring tools to produce duct to specifications
• Ability to read metal layout drawings for fitting and fabricating metal products
• Must have a strong math background and ability to convert metric/standard, fractional, and decimal measurements easily
• Must possess confidence, practice safety and be comfortable with shop equipment
• Consistently work with respect to the company’s core values and mission
• Support the end customer and team as effectively as possible
• Ability to walk, stand, crawl, climb, and kneel consistently throughout the workday
• Demonstrate understanding of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Must be punctual
• Must have a good work ethic
• Must possess good customer service and communication skills
• Must believe in and display honesty and integrity, and a have a moral/values system

PAY RANGE

• $18.00 - $40.00 per hour, based on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
