UL is hiring one 3rd-shift and two 2nd-shift Supervisors within our HVAC Performance Testing Lab.
- Supervises the day to day delivery of high-quality HVAC testing services. Monitors the daily productivity and quality of work, allocates resources as required and troubleshoot/escalate problems as necessary.
- Schedules, assigns, reviews and coordinates workflow to assure proper utilization and training of lab staff, ensuring all work is in accordance with regulatory and organizational policy, accreditation/compliance requirements.
- Provides input into the annual budgetary goals, capital expenditure budget for lab equipment and tactical plans for assigned lab team.
- Contributes to preparing instructions for test methods, procedures, quality control and maintenance procedures. Examines test samples, test performance and provides input regarding issues and/or problems with test/data sheets.
Operates machines and lab equipment, may perform routine maintenance of
designated test equipment and laboratory area.
- Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
- Under supervision, manages the performance of direct reports by defining
accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing feedback and
guidance, assist in hiring and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.
Qualifications:
- Vocational training or a degree in HVAC.
- Universal EPA certification.
- Strong electrical aptitude.
- 3-5 years of residential HVAC experience.
- 1-2 years of leadership experience highly preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Pay: Up to $70,000.00 per year
