POSITION SUMMARY:

Position is responsible for customer service and for cashier duties working the front counter at the Community Center Ice Rink. This includes taking direction from ice rink leads and being individually proactive to meet any immediate Ice Rink Facility and user needs.

POSITION REPORTS TO: Ice Rink Lead

DIRECT REPORTS ASSIGNED: 0; non-supervisory position

JOB LOCATION: Community Center Ice Rink, 100 Wulfsohn Rd, Glenwood Springs, CO

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

CATEGORY: Part-time

HOURS: 10-28 hours per week

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Demonstrate strong customer service skills while meeting and serving the public effectively.

2. Process daily sales, skate rentals, concessions and communicate daily schedules.

3. Enforce facility rules, policies and safety guidelines.

4. Refer visitors to appropriate information, personnel, and resources

5. Complete daily tasks including, but not limited to: skate sharpening, cleaning, and inventory stocking

6. Receives and directs phone calls

7. Perform multiple tasks in an active environment

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending upon the specified need is mandatory.

· Ability to ice skate or learn to ice skate

· Understanding of proper cash handling

· Ability to work both independently and in a team

· Must possess strong communication skills

· Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external customers.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & CERTIFICATIONS

Necessary:

· Must be 16 years of age or older

· CPR and first aid must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

· Knowledge of Windows based computer applications to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.52 - $14.87 per hour
