We are seeking an Import Specialist to support our Merchandising department coordinating the daily activity of imports to ensure prompt and accurate delivery, maintaining inventory levels and landed cost program.

Responsibilities

• Import Consolidation/Logistics to multi destinations.
• Manages Landed Cost Program – Insures audits and landed cost maintenance is conducted
• Conducts shipment cost comparison.
• Coordinating track/trace system and maintaining purchase order database
• Assist the Import broker and freight carriers with shipment coordination
• Expedite documents and purchase orders
• Submits and reviews ISF security filings
• Review & Distribution of Import Documents
• Maintain various spreadsheets for reporting
• Coordinate wire transfers
• Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification of products
• Assist with purchasing as needed

Requirements

• Excel, MS Outlook, Word & Access skills required
• Excellent attention to detail is a must
• Strong organizational & communication skills
• Analytical skills & accurate math calculations
• Ability to multi-task in a very fast-paced work environment & meet strict deadlines
• Familiarity with harmonized tariff codes & freight classification a plus
• Prior negotiation skills a plus
• Freight consolidation experience helpful
