OVERVIEW

The In-Market Digital Strategist helps shape the strategic direction of activation tactics and creative for all in-market digital marketing initiatives for one of our key automotive brands. This role sits at the intersection of media, creative, data science and channel marketing, with a mandate to drive engagement with in-market auto shoppers. This position requires both strategic thinking as well as hands-on task management, with adherence to defined goals and performance metrics.


KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBLITY


  • Collaborate with media team to help qualify and amplify in-market media tactics.

  • Provide strategic frameworks, flow models and communication architectures for campaigns.

  • Provide POVs and recommendations for new and innovative ways to drive engagement with in-market audiences.

  • Partner with media, account, and data science teams to measure performance and report ongoing metrics.

  • Collaborate with team on tactical development and review creative to verify it is on strategy.

  • Provide content optimization recommendations during planning, development, and post-launch phases.

  • Co-develop annual in-market digital strategic plans in partnership with brand strategy, media and channel leads.

  • Guide test and learn initiatives across all digital activation channels to improve engagement and media efficiency.

  • Be a champion of integrated digital strategy through ongoing coaching and education of both internal team members and clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of digital strategy experience for an automotive brand required.

  • 4+ years of experience in performance marketing, preferably with relevant eCommerce experience.

  • Demonstrated experience with full-funnel customer journey mapping and optimization strategies.

  • Conversant in strategies and tactics across the broader spectrum of paid, earned and owned digital channels.

  • Passion for digital and its ever-changing landscape with a practical sense of how to apply your passions to drive results.

  • Expert-level task/project management skills are a must. We operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Proficient at distilling data into insights to clearly articulate strategic direction.

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to interact with senior clients and internal team members.
