POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Incident Management Coordinator works under the general direction of the Assistant Director of Roadway Operations, performing various functions related to the safe operation of the roadways including incident response actions and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Work with Operations Department personnel to review reports and data to understand accident causations before trends develop and, where applicable, effectuate a response.

2. Act as a liaison within the Operations Department, with the State Police, and with all other Departments to improve roadway safety and the incident management process.

3. Perform analyses for accidents, events, and incidents.

4. Assist with the new trooper orientation, relations with first responders, and the Operations Duty processes. Provide feedback to help continually improve the Incident Management processes.

5. Continually review incidents, providing recommendations for the improvement of Incident Response and roadway safety.

6. Coordinate off-site special preplanned events that affect the roadway, including but not limited to Meadowlands, Art Center, Transcom and Transportation Agency events.

7. Additional duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR RELATIONSHIPS:

Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all employees of the Authority. Represent the Authority in a positive, professional, and confidential manner in dealings with external agencies, contractors, and all other individuals and entities. Maintain professional demeanor even in high stress emergency and weather situations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School diploma or GED

2. Incident Command or Incident Management Response Team training and experience.

3. Proven record of managing and coordinating high profile events.

4. Demonstrated communication and leadership skills.

5. Ability to work independently without supervision.

6. Must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $73,083.00 - $115,000.00 per year
