About This Role

Candidate will serve as an IST Associate/ IST Senior. Successfully completing training, this position will be responsible for technical and operational support in the installation, application and maintenance of unmanned aerial Universal Ground Control Stations in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions and technical orders, procedures and regulations. Troubleshoots technical problems and determines solutions.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs organizational, intermediate, and depot-level maintenance on Universal Ground Control Station to the customer’s satisfaction. Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field changes.
  • Performs quality installation, operation, and maintenance to the customer’s satisfaction on electronic equipment, integrated systems, subsystems, and various software operating systems.
  • Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses system malfunctions to eliminate problems in minimum time.
  • Accurately interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation, coupled with the ability to evaluate, isolate, and repair system malfunctions.
  • May assist in on-the-job training (OJT) as necessary.
  • Acts as a customer liaison and must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Performs general logistics and functions and reporting.
  • Practices ISO 9001 principles and concepts.
  • Performs general housekeeping in work area as needed.
  • Performs, tracks and monitors parts procurement and inventory status.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Provide instruction internally and to customers including completion of training records and proper documentation.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET Security Clearance.
  • Average or better proficiency with computer programs; ex: Microsoft Suite
  • Minimal experience with multiple software principles, including but not limited to Virtual Machines, Operating Systems (OS) including Windows and Linux, and an understanding of how to install, remove, and troubleshoot software.
  • Minimal experience/basic knowledge with networking protocols to include TCP/IP, Telnet, SSH and SNAP.
  • Familiarity working with customer expectations, policies, and business practices with a focus on high customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to attend and pass a 6-week basic training course in Hunt Valley, MD upon hire.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and multi-task.
  • Ability to travel to various work sites within the U.S. and overseas when required to support program needs.
  • Must be able to pass a standard deployment physical and be willing and able to deploy overseas for periods of no less than 180 days when the program requires. May be working in a combat environment in hostile areas and living under arduous conditions.
  • Ability to work up to an 84-hour work week (7 days per week, 12 hours per day), while deployed and embedded with US Military Personnel.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with military logistics systems, to include COLTS and UAS-I.
  • Familiarity with customer and corporate expectations, policies, and business practices and high customer satisfaction orientation.
  • Familiarity with military radios and communications protocols.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 principles and concepts.
