What you will do (day in the life):
Work on a critical knowledge sharing tool for the customer with real world applications. The tool that the team works on is high-visibility and enables collaboration across multiple partners as it is used in the day-to-day mission, throughout the customer and across the broader Intelligence Community (IC). Your work will enable data to be updated and shared in real-time and will help drive more informed and timely decisions in matters of national security.
Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) is seeking an Information Assurance/Security Engineer to join the development team on the DO program.
Work Location:
Herndon, VA or Reston, VA; Onsite.
Telework Availability: None
Duties for an Information Assurance/Security Engineer on this team:
- The candidate will work with the application leads, sysadmins, dbas, developers and testers to ensure the assigned systems are security compliant and achieve/maintain ATO.
- This includes following the RMF process for full test, partial test, CONMON and no test.
- Updating Xacta documentation including SSPs, SCTM, STPs and POAMs.
- Loading artifacts such as STIG checklists and ACAS scans.
- Helping to implement STIG checklists and mitigate scan findings.
- Answering questions to ensure systems are developed with security compliance built in.
- Supporting security assessment events and responding to all questions from PAT team, ISSMs and SCAs.
Required Experience/Education Requirements:
- Active TS/SCI with CI Poly
- Full time work in a SCIF is required, but hours are flexible
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or field applicable to the position required.
- 10 or more years of relevant experience required. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- May substitute relevant experience for relevant education: HS with 14 years; Associates with 12 years; Masters with 8 years; PhD with 6 years
- Security+ or other IAT II/III level certification that is currently active
Desired Experience:
- Xacta experience is a nice to have
