WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER


The Information Technology Programmer I participates is all functions of geospatial web applications development life cycle utilizing TNC’s basic project management discipline. They develop new applications and solutions according to system requirements following TNC methodology and development best practices. They act as a team member on technology application development projects related to application upgrades, conversion, and modifications. They act as a quality assurance analyst to conduct usability testing and code validation before release to production in all phases of the project life cycle. The Programmer I assists Nature Conservancy staff and users as needed. They’ll perform and provide support for tasks assigned to complete projects including design, development, deployment, and maintenance.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING


  • Bachelor's degree in information systems or a related field and 2-years progressive experience with frontend web development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) or equivalent combination.
  • 1-year experience with web mapping APIs (ArcGIS API for JavaScript, Mapbox API, Leaflet API, etc.).
  • 1-year experience with JavaScript MVC Frameworks (Vue, React, etc.).
  • Experience with Mac/PC operating system and hardware, version control software, and cloud computing services (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Experience communicating clearly via written, spoken, and graphical means in English.
  • Experience fostering and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse client base.
