Insider Threat Specialist
This position provides support to assist and advise the Command’s Insider Threat (InT) Program Manager (PM). The goal of the program is to detect, deter, and mitigate insider threats posed by individuals determined to cause high-impact national security damage or workplace violence.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to manage national program administrative reporting requirements and data calls, record meeting minutes, upload threat streams to the national database, assist with insider threat awareness, and draft plans, SOP’s, manage web pages on internal networks, prepare requests for information (RFI’s)
- Assist in threat report preparation for senior officials
- Assist with analysis of the trigger event(s) and prepare/ draft reports
- Develop and deliver InT training, awareness pamphlets, and briefing materials for presentation command-wide
- Develop a computer based annual training program that can be administered through the Learning Management System
- Document/account for taskings made to other offices
- Answer data requests from other organizations and senior officials
- Track insider threat inquiries
- Evaluate daily information provided from multiple sources indicating potential insider threats or workplace violence
- Provide data analysis to the InT PM for review and action
- Participate in and support exercises
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Experience working in and managing federal and/or military security programs
- Experienced in working in a major military command structure
- Ability and desire to maintain and expand client relationships through the delivery of high quality work
- Well developed written and verbal communication skills
- Superior interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact in a professional manner with senior level government managers and teammates
Desired Experience and Qualifications
- Experience as a special agent, insider threat analyst, or similar experience is desired
- Appropriate educational degree(s) are desired.
Work Location: Peterson AFB, CO; Travel for initial training required but other travel not required.
Work Status: Full time, on-site.
Security Clearance: A TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
Compensation Range: $90,000 to $110,00+ a year, but overall compensation could vary
