Erik Bruce is a design company creating bespoke curtains. Each piece is unique and tailor-made.

We work with high-end clients both residential and commercial in NYC and have our own designers and tailors. Our studio is based in Bushwick, right off the Jefferson stop on the L-train.

As part of our growth we are hiring full time installers to join our installation crew.

Job Function and Requirements:

Your daily role is to work in the installation crew. You will prepare, install and make after-sales work.

• Preparing and inspecting incoming hardware. Packing the vehicle with required materials, making sure everything is as per requirements, on-site delivery and un-packing of hardware and curtains.
• Installing manual and motorized tracks, roller shades and decorative hardware as per specifications. Steaming and hanging of curtains. Problem-solving on site with the general contractor to ensure all quality standards are met.
• Punch-listing and reporting back to project mgr to complete all adjustments and/or corrections or troubleshooting.

About you:

• Good knowledge of construction and materials.
• Previous experience with construction sites.
• Expert with power tools and execution of high quality of work.
• Demonstrate care when handling materials
• Comfortable working on ladders and with tall ceilings.
• Demonstrates a professional attitude to work.
• Strong time management and good planning skills.
• Good communication skills.
• An eye for detail.
• Openness to other people and enjoy working in teams with different functions.
• Can demonstrate a good physical condition. You will work on sites and some lifting (up to 40-50 lbs) is required.
• A Driver's license is a must.

If you have experience with motorized track systems (Lutron, Somfy, Crestron, etc), and good technical knowledge it is an absolute plus for your success in the role.
