Job Overview This position has responsibility for providing sterile processing, decontamination, assembly, and transport of medical supplies / equipment and ancillary services to all requesting departments as required, under the supervision of the SSP Manager. Employee must be able to successfully demonstrate the staff requirements as specified in the specific Care Center's Scope of Service, and complete the Care Center's specific competencies, and meet / exceed the Care Center's standards as identified in the criteria based performance appraisal. Employee must be conscientious with regard to procedures and capable of accepting pressure assignments, clerical assignments, and all duties relative to the department. Employee must be capable of interacting professionally with other departments within the hospital.

Education and Experience
Graduate from an Accredited Surgical Technology Program or completed IAHCSMM instrument of patient care certification program for CRCST/CIS.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and a Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology Program (CST, Certified Surgical Technologist) or a Sterile Supply CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) / CIS (Certified Instrument Specialist) or a CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution).
