Utility Instrumentation & Controls Technician

As a Utility Instrumentation & Controls Technician in the City of Salisbury, you can make a difference! The City is seeking a qualified professional responsible for installing, troubleshooting, updating, calibrating and maintaining Industrial Control
Systems and Instrumentation related to SCADA systems and networks, programmable Logic Controllers, HMI devices and other equipment related to water and wastewater treatment facilities. Main duties include but are not limited to: Installs software, hardware and peripherals related to SCADA system and network; diagnoses and repairs hardware and software problems; maintains current software backups of systems software and servers; and maintains proper documentation, records, maintenance manuals and CMMS entries to ensure adequate inventory of spare parts and materials for repairs.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED and experience in computerized hardware and software and troubleshooting techniques, specifically industrial automation and control or closely related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid NC Driver’s License or the ability to obtain
• Possession of or ability to obtain appropriate software and hardware certifications
• Working knowledge of PLCs and Logic, Windows and SCADA preferred

Pay rate: $23.17 - $33.14 (Depending on experience)
$2,000.00 sign-on bonus to be paid as a lump sum after completion of 90 days.
