Lyon Shipyard is looking for good marine insulation techs for long term work turning into permanent position with our company. Looking for someone that can draw the work needed and cut fabric to fit. Be able to make insulation and baffles in the shop and hang them. Great pay and benefits. We are a small shipyard but have a lot of work and overtime.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Create a diagram of pads needed

• Construct a Pad from a diagram

• Use industrial sewing machine

• Use Capacitor Discharge pin welder

• Follow diagram to successfully layout pin pattern

• Install all forms of Marine Insulation

• Hull board

• Exhaust lagging

• Closed Cell rubber

• Fiberglass pipe wrap

• Pass in house Certification for Fork Lift Operator

Successfully utilize industry/ company tools
Grinder, pliers, tape measure, compass, box cutter, straight edge, knife, etc.
