The Position

• The Interim Director of Nursing will oversee several departments including OB, ED, Med/Surg, and Cardiac Rehab within this 25-bed critical access hospital.
• The DON will assess and observe to understand if any changes need to be made to the departments, while giving guidance and reassurance to the staff.
• Will use critical thinking skills to develop the staff providing processes and patient flow. Develop innovative scheduling models that align with the future staffing model plans.
• Ideal candidate will be a strong visible leaser that can hold the staff accountable and be a change agent for the culture. Rural Healthcare model knowledge needed.
• RN license required.

• The International Peace Garden, on the U.S.-Canadian border, is about 100 miles northwest of Devils Lake.

• Devil's Lake State Park has two large sandy beaches. They are located on both the north & south shores of the lake. Devil's Lake normally maintains a very comfortable swimming temperature from Mid-June to Late September.
