The Internal Audit Manager will be responsible for the planning and professional performance of audit assignments and risk assessments. This includes tests of controls and/or details including (but not limited to): financial audits, IT audits, internal controls, operational performance, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, accreditation standards, contracts, compliance with company policies and procedures, and fraud investigations. This person will work under limited supervision while utilizing independent judgment – but always ensuring an adherence to all corporate policies and procedures as well as professional ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development of an annual risk assessment utilized by Internal Audit to develop annual audit plans.

• Develop a comprehensive risk-based internal audit methodology and execute operational, IT and Financial internal audit reviews in line with the methodology to identify control and operational weaknesses and work with the business process owner to create effective management action plans to address the identified gaps
• Coordinate with external auditors to align efforts (including control testing reliance) and ensure alignment on conclusions
• Support process and control owners with the development of key internal controls and identify changes in existing and/or new activities which require controls
• Execute other tasks or special projects when required by management such as review of system implementations, due diligence reviews, and internal investigations

• Analyzes data obtained for evidence of deficiencies in controls, duplication of effort, extravagance, fraud, or lack of compliance with the company’s or management’s established policies and procedures.

• 3-5 years of experience as Internal Auditor, or in a related field
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office
• C.P.A. required
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports
• Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules, and regulations
