Job description
International Logistics Specialist responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provides support to our International Logistics Team, including dispatching, document preparation, tracking and tracing , verifying load integrity
- Communicate clearly and effectively with carriers and internal and external customers and business partners
- Research quote information for international team members
- Consistently track and trace order movements from origination to destination and solve operational challenges
- Other duties as assigned to support business needs
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High school Diploma or GED
- Previous experience in the international forwarding industry a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Have the drive, assertiveness, passion, and dedication to succeed in the freight forwarding industry
- Work independently while supporting an overall team mentality
- Multitask in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
- Ownership of role and responsibilities, participate in team goals
- Manage customer situations promptly and professionally
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
