Robert Half is currently working with a client looking for an Inventory Clerk. The Inventory Clerk will be responsible to keep track of goods and services and manage orders to facilitate sales or production. Inventory Clerk responsibilities will include signing off on shipments, counting the number of available products and placing orders for more inventory according to demand. If you are a detailed oriented inventory professional with excellent math and communication skills, this is the Inventory Clerk position for you!

Responsibilities

• Reporting discrepancies between physical counts and computer records
• Ordering inventory from vendors and suppliers and securing shipment arrival times
• Counting and classifying items
• Managing all inconsistencies in documents
• Getting prices and estimates from vendors and then comparing costs
• Data entry duties
• Working closely with the inventory analyst and purchasing manager
• Managing inventory by stocking and cataloging products
• 1+ years' experience in retail and/or inventory sector is preferred
• A minimum of a HS Diploma or equivalent
• Excellent analytical thinking skills and mathematical capabilities
• Must have an understanding of the range of services and products offered by the company
• Ability to use inventory computer programs to update counts and compile reports, such as spreadsheets
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail as well as problem solving skills
