Role Overview

As an Inventory Manager you will be a vital member of a fast growing operation with the ability to impact massive change as part of our advanced Operations line-up. You must be a natural leader exhibiting organization skills and team oriented decisions to be a part of the Operations Team.

Strong decision-making skills will be critical for this role. The planning, organization, and execution of completing daily inventory tasks can be challenging during our current growth, so it will be important that this position will work as a calm, objective focused leader to make sure targets are met on a daily basis.

In this role, you will:

  • Hire, train, and develop inventory team members to carry out daily inventory operations
  • Oversee execution of daily tasks to support of the Operations team
  • Build effective, facility specific Cycle Counting strategies for inventory compliance
  • Build and maintain an effective daily schedule and work flow that ensure daily inventory and operations goals are met
  • Build and lead a team that executes all inventory standards to minimize internal and external loss
  • Build and maintain an inventory operation with consistent 99.5% unit accuracy
  • Conduct routine audits to ensure compliance with company goals
  • Drive compliance with company inventory product storage standards
  • Take full ownership for all on hand products and their physical and systematic locations
  • Build and lead inventory team that excels in resolving variances, identifying root causes, and reporting issues on a daily basis
  • Take responsibility in delivering commitments and positive results
  • Build a culture of Inventory excellence that will meet or exceed shrink goals set by Asset protection
  • Lead and reconcile receiving of bulk seller deliveries
  • Be flexible with other projects as they surface, fostering a team dynamic and can-do attitude
  • Ensure that the inventory team has support, knowledge, and resources necessary to complete tasks
  • Use data to analyze business trends and make impactful changes, create new processes that yield positive results
  • Use data to build relevant network solutions in partnership with our engineering team
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures to structure new and existing that positively impact team performance
  • Be a resource for inventory processes, product, and order status’
  • Maintain and create a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Facilitate and participate in all training on inventory procedures and standards
  • Take risks, try new things, and be a natural problem solve

We are looking for:

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Experience in leading, training, and developing teams of 10 or more staff members
  • Effective communicator among team members and leadership staff
  • Strong background in maintaining a high volume, fast paced inventory environment
  • Minimum 4 years experience working in an inventory control setting – sneaker industry is a plus
  • Experienced in order fulfillment, fulfillment support, order picking and all inbound/outbound mechanisms
  • Strong communication skills across all levels
  • Problem solver with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Skilled in Google Docs, Excel, SQL
  • Must be able to work while standing and walking and be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Strong knowledge of the sneaker industry is a plus
