JOB SUMMARY:
Americo is looking for an Investment Staff Accountant to join our Corporate Finance group. The Investment Staff Accountant will perform a variety of functions relating to overall reporting of investment activity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reconciliation of investment portfolios from investment accounting system to ledger and reports
• Reconciliation of bank accounts and miscellaneous cash management functions
• Preparation of statutory, GAAP, and tax schedules on a monthly and quarterly basis
• Preparation of monthly performance reports
• Preparation of daily and weekly executive management reports
• Assists the manager in special projects relating to investment accounting
• Miscellaneous general and investment accounting regulatory control functions

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

• Understand accounting theory and principles
• Knowledge of basic insurance industry practices
• Knowledge of investment securities
• Basic understanding of internal control functions
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
• Organized, dedicated and able to work well with others and independently
• Proficient in Excel and data analysis

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Four-year college education - Accounting major or experience required.
