The Infrastructure Analyst for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s Information Technology team at the company’s Aberdeen office reporting to the Infrastructure Operations Manager. The infrastructure Analyst responsibilities are critical to global infrastructure operations. The duties comprise of installing server systems, doing configuration updates, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining services hosted on systems. The infrastructure analyst is also responsible for general requirements gathering, initial escalations and problem validation. The analyst is responsible for maintenance of local and shared file systems and file access management. Analyst duties cover the entire systems lifecycle from server provisioning to decommissioning for both hosts, guests and related configuration items.

This role will be primarily responsible for the following:
Primarily focused on Windows but expected to handle general operating system support for Linux
To be involved in design, implementation, security, and maintenance of computer systems for development, test, and production environments
To identify and analyze the issues that hamper the performance of systems, and work in close coordination with development teams and recommend solutions for identified issues
To do all the supporting tasks that are included, but not limited to code deployment, managing source control systems, virtual servers, security, and scripting
To identify and remedy discrepancies in systems, to assess the risks, and to implement solutions by adhering to established security standards
Maintain storage, backups, and other scheduled jobs to maintain system availability
Review error logs and alerts while providing proactive solutions
Communicate with the staff, vendors, and customers in a courteous, effective, and professional manner
Assist in the evaluation and testing of new technologies and solutions and provide recommendations to leadership Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
Ability to create, run and maintain virtual machines and troubleshoot potential issues
Experience with PowerShell scripting
Experience with all modern network and storage protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, SSL, NFS and SMB
Experience with Active Directory, Certificates, DNS, and DHCP
Backup, archiving and business continuity in virtual and multi-cloud environments
Bachelor's Degree
