GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
An employee in this class is responsible for assisting with the overall supervision and management of the AHRC Suffolk computer system. As requested, performs related work.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
Under the direct supervision of the IT Director, an employee in this class will work with all programs at all sites to keep the computer network running.
ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLES OF WORK:
(Performing some of the following tasks may put you at risk for acquiring the Hepatitis B virus.)
- Manage help desk tickets in a timely manner by responding to issues via phone, email, and chat.
- Troubleshoot and run diagnostics to resolve reported issues.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for 600+ uses.
- Manage the setup and access for new hires, transfers, and terminated users.
- Install, make changes, and repair computer hardware equipment.
- Install and configure software, maintain computer systems, network infrastructure, and telecommunication devices.
- Develop and maintain an inventory of all computer equipment across all sites.
- Re-image computer workstations and track media re-use.
- Consult with third-party support and PC equipment vendors.

Requirements
High school diploma and valid NYS Driver’s License. Readiness to learn and utilize relevant agency computer applications.
