The Larson Group Peterbilt, is looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Desk Technician to join our dynamic team at our Strafford, MO location. The primary responsibility is to provide daily support for escalated helpdesk tickets. Maintain desktop applications through tools, scripts and manual installations and removal. Work closely with the network operations team and helpdesk team to support and grow the knowledge of helpdesk based on network team policies and procedures. Work collaboratively with other IT employees to achieve maximum uptime for all retail centers.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle front line phones and emails for escalated tickets from the Tier I Helpdesk.
  • Superior customer service and interpersonal communication (Oral, written, typing and person).
  • Strong working knowledge of PC Desktops, Software troubleshooting, and Windows Operating systems.
  • Strong organization and follow-up skills with the ability to keep up with a rapid call center environment.
  • Document, track, and own new and existing issues to ensure a timely resolution.
  • Identify and analyze root cause issues for a broad base of technical computer and phone related issues.
  • Maintain a high percentage ticket closure, with user signoff, and identify escalation paths when tickets are outside of the helpdesk knowledgebase.
  • Intermediate knowledge of route/switch/networking, VoIP principal and terminology, email flow and filtering, active directory updating and reporting, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Familiarity of various internet technologies (HTML, http/ftp, Web Services, SMTP)
  • Ability to understand complex technology and non-standard diagnostic protocols for pc to nonpc devices.
  • Ability to be on call 24x7 on a rotating basis.
  • Ability to meet pre-established deadlines on non-helpdesk projects when needed.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to remote locations (as needed).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in a Technical/Business/Scientific discipline OR 2-3 years of documented equivalent experience in the Information Technology field.
  • Familiarity with Cisco-Meraki, VoIP, Microsoft 365, Azure, Microsoft Active Directory, general SIEM ideas and principles not required but a plus.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in a Technical/Business/Scientific discipline OR 2-3 years of documented equivalent experience in the Information Technology field.
  • Familiarity with Cisco-Meraki, VoIP, Microsoft 365, Azure, Microsoft Active Directory, general SIEM ideas and principles not required but a plus.
