Position Summary

We’re seeking an IT Manager to help scale one of the top manufacturers/distributors in the cannabis industry. This position reports directly to the CEO and CFO. This leadership role will be responsible for all aspects of our Information Systems, IT Security, developing the strategy and roadmap for the department and ongoing support for mission critical systems.

Ideal candidates will direct and coordinate information systems planning and design, installation and operations, with a special focus on security..

Example Responsibilities

• Manages data center and hosting operations as well as business continuity / disaster recovery planning and test execution.
• Contributes to the design and approval of a comprehensive security strategy. The strategy will account for the end-to-end lifecycle of information security operations, including: Evaluating the IT threat landscape, devising policy and controls to reduce risk, and leading auditing and compliance initiatives.
• Translates the security risk requirements and constraints of the business into technical control requirements and specifications, as well as develops metrics for ongoing performance measurement and reporting.
• Designs and implements internal communications security systems including a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) management ecosystem, in order to enforce data security as it relates to employee personal devices used to interact on company networks, and systems to manage company phone conferencing software.
• Coordinates with all relevant department managers to enforce authorized access by investigating improper access; revoking access; reporting violations and recommending improvements for all digital and physical facility access points.
• Coordinates with Distribution and Fleet managers to enforce authorized vehicle access and tracking by investigating improper access, revoking access, reporting violations and recommending improvements for all digital and physical fleet access points.
• Conducts audits with internal and external auditors and makes recommendations as needed to improve compliance and the security culture.
• Manages endpoint security protection, intrusion prevention/detection systems, vulnerability management systems, data loss prevention, and others.
• Ensures that the organization is adaptable to evolving compliance regulations including PCI, GDPR, CCPA, develop the requirements for all interested parties and coordinate with the data protection initiatives in compliance with these requirements as per the enforceable regulations.
• Researches, drafts, and drives process change for policy and security solutions to better serve our customers.
• Acts as the primary contact for executives and senior management (internal and external), providing guidance and advice related to technology controls

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading and managing Information Security Engineering and Operations
• General security background in the use of cryptography, network/systems/physical security, authentication, authorization, and usability
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills

Salary

The compensation package for this position includes a competitive base salary commensurate with experience.
