Position Summary
The IT Project Manager manages all aspects of IT projects from idea to closure and meets all expectations of the role, including (but not limited to):
- Builds an understanding of project activities required for success and key project participants
- Develops project charters, including scope and objectives, in collaboration with stakeholders, business partners and project team members
- Identifies and manages the expectations of key stakeholders
- Creates and manages detailed activity plans, including documenting who will do what by when
- Follows up on assigned activities and holds team accountable for completion as agreed
- Schedules and leads project meetings, both internally and with any external partners
- Manages changes to scope, schedule and/or budget
- Reports project status regularly
- Identifies, documents, communicates, and resolves project issues and risks as needed
- Recommends project activities, such as additional training or communication, to support success
- Ensures evidence of approval is obtained as required throughout the project lifecycle
- Creates and maintains required project artifacts, such as:
- Issue log
- Risk log
- Communication plan
- Training plan
- Testing plans and evidence of results
- Process and/or technical documentation
- Participates as needed in the audit of IT Projects by supplying evidence as requested
- Assists to create and maintain IT Policies, Standards and Procedures for project management
- Promotes the security of intellectual data and privacy, specifically adhering to the security mechanisms outlined by Loews Hotels Information Security policies and procedures
- Builds and maintains relationships to get work done through others
Education:
BS in Management Information Systems, Information Management, Computer Science, Information Security or other business discipline, or equivalent experience
Experience:
- Minimum three (3) years of project management experience, with at least 2 focused on IT projects
- Exposure to the following areas:
- IT Infrastructure
- IT Procurement and Vendor Management
- System Development Lifecycle
- Network Engineering and Management
- Cloud-based applications
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Demonstrated capability to learn on the job
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal)
Preferred:
- Familiarity with operations in the hospitality industry
- Project Management Certification (PMP or other)
- Experience working in IT management and/or operations, including infrastructure management, network management and security engineering
- Business Analyst experience
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and logical skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Capability to be a self-starter who can follow through and drive assignments to completion with minimal oversight
- Ability to apply proper sense of urgency to communications and activities
- Experience leading projects across geographies, with stakeholders at all levels

Salary range for this position, based on experience, is $89,600.00 to $112,000.00.
