What we are looking for

NextCare is looking for an IT System Administrator.


Location

To join their IT team in Tempe, AZ. This position can be fully remote from anywhere in the United States, with preference for candidates living in one of the 12 states that NextCare currently operates in (Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, New Mexico, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, Virginia and Wyoming).


Responsibilities

The IT System Administrator is responsible for assisting the Infrastructure Manager in the technical, operational, and regulatory aspects of the organization's server infrastructure including effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure in a 24x7 environment.


How you will make an impact

The IT System Administrator supports the Organization with the following:

  • Deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting multi-domain Windows Server environments
  • Responsible for proactive monitoring and management of all infrastructure systems
  • Responsible for securing infrastructure, safeguarding NextCare’s customers, patients, and employees
  • Resolves escalated issues from the Help Desk and Field Service departments
  • Maintain backups and test restores of the infrastructure environment
  • Comprehensive documentation of existing and future infrastructure
  • Document, track, and monitor changes to ensure proper resolution and process adherence.
  • Provide on-call support as needed

Essential Education, Experience and Skills:

Minimum Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems, or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • Four (4+) years of related experience as a Systems Administrator
  • Four (4+) years with Active Directory Domain Services
  • Two (2+) years managing Windows Server Roles and Features
  • Two (2+) automating tasks using popular scripting languages
  • Two (2+) years managing enterprise backup solutions.
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP client/server communication
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
  • Careful attention to detail and ability to ingest and retain information

Valued But Not Required Education, Experience and Skills:

Experience:

  • Advanced skill with one, or more, of the following scripting languages: PowerShell, VBS, Batch
  • Advanced knowledge of SCCM, including packages, updates, and OS deployments
  • Moderate to advanced knowledge of VMWare vSphere administration.
  • Moderate to Advanced knowledge of MS Exchange server functions and settings.
  • Moderate knowledge of MS SQL server administration best practices.
  • Basic administration of Linux servers, including Ubuntu, Debian, and CentOS
  • Basic knowledge of SAN/NAS technologies, including Fibre Channel and iSCSI.
  • Basic knowledge of Cisco UCS technologies and administration.
  • Basic administration of Linux servers, including Ubuntu, Debian, and CentOS
  • System Administrator experience in a healthcare environment
