This is an on-site position located at 110 W. Congress Street, Tucson, AZ 85701.
Provides standard system administration support activities within the Information Technology Services Division. Responsible for performing administrative activities associated with systems monitoring, maintenance, problem resolution, customer issue response, account, computer and other resource creation and modification requests within the court domain.
- Provides system administration services including setting up new users and resources, monitoring user account status to ensure compliance with court security procedures, disabling accounts, and performing Office 365 administration.
- Provides technical support services including troubleshooting and resolving customer problems, assisting with customer training, and participating in triage of court audio visual issues.
- Provides technical support services for Microsoft cloud platform.
- Provides first level support for security related incidents.
- Provides escalated support for Helpdesk staff.
- Assists in operating system and software installations and associated configurations.
- Performs network/server maintenance activities including installation of hardware and software, testing, and backup and restore procedures.
- Monitors network/server performance, bandwidth requirements, and resource allocation.
- Participates in system design, capacity planning, development of upgrade plans, benefit analysis of new technologies, backup and restore strategies and disaster recovery planning.
- Assists in coordinating and executing information technology tasks and projects.
- Develops documentation including network diagrams, system configuration, user guides, and training.
- Participates in change management procedures.
- Participates in patch and operating software release testing.
A Bachelor's degree with a major in computer science, management information systems, or a related field, and three (3) years of experience in computer related technical support, computer operations OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education approved by Human Resources.
Must have a valid Arizona driver's license at the time of appointment. Must have completed Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification or have the ability to acquire this certification within a year.
Typically performs duties in an office environment and may lift materials and/or equipment 20 lbs. or less. Occasional after hours and weekend hours are required to support system implementations, upgrades or respond to emergency after hours support tickets.

Retirement Plan participation is mandatory for all eligible employees to include a mandatory pre-tax pay deduction. July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023, the deduction for Retirement Pension & Health Insurance Benefit is 12.03% and Long Term Disability Income Plan 0.14% to constitute a total of 12.17% deduction.
Education Reimburement Program: The program will provide up to $5,250 per calendar year towards the cost of tuition, required books, registration fees, and laboratory fees. The Employee's lifetime maximum benefit would be for reimbursement of one Bachelor's degree and one Master's degree.
