Job description

The Judicial College of the Louisiana Supreme Court is currently seeking a qualified individual to handle researching, designing and implementing judicial education programs, to include curriculum planning in correlation to evolving case law, legislation, and administrative best practices. Responsibilities also include: oversight of new technologies and course delivery methods; monitoring legislative processes; drafting updates and supplemental resources for “Bench Books;” special projects as directed by the Justices, Board of Governors, and Executive Director; maintaining statistical data; working with College staff to plan and execute conferences; course evaluation; attending stakeholder meetings with partner agencies and organizations; and other objectives necessary to meet the judiciary’s training needs.

Qualified applicants must have a law degree from an ABA accredited law school and have passed the Louisiana Bar. Judicial law clerk experience is a plus. Must be extremely proficient with excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Must also possess advanced computer skills with a high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites. Educator experience also preferred. Some travel is required. This position serves as an employee of the Louisiana Supreme Court as part of the Judicial College staff under the supervision of the Executive Director. Excellent benefits and paid parking.
