Job Summary:

Woodfin-Your Home Team is looking to connect with individuals interested in further developing their careers as a Junior Accountant. The Junior Accountant will be offered a chance to develop over time, initially focusing on accounts payable. The Junior Accountant will also be able to showcase their technical strengths by working with team members to effectively manage the accurate input of data into our various accounting and computer operating systems. Job Responsibilities:

  • Works with internal customers to verify invoices are accurately coded.
  • Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports.
  • Verifies monthly billing is complete for all departments so that revenue aligns with cost.
  • Works with our customers via email or phone to resolve any questions.
  • Performs month-end close activities including accruals, reconciliations, P/L data refreshes and variance explanations, and other associated data entry.
  • Completes special projects as assigned to support the overall success of the department.
  • Continuously demonstrates a drive to start and complete personal projects.
  • Consistently performs duties with high degree of accuracy and efficiency.


Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Math, Business, or similar program.
  • 1-3 years of verifiable work experience managing payables; previous internship experience will be considered.


Job Requirements:

  • Aptitude for learning and operating multiple computer systems – Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.) and various accounting systems (Sage Intacct, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience managing company payables.
  • Able to analyze, model, and interpret data.
  • Experienced with combining large volumes of data for consolidated reporting.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work in a team setting.
