Summary:

The Junior Cloud Systems Engineer will implement and maintain Cloud solutions, primarily on Azure and GCP. The role will be responsible for managing our cloud infrastructure, processes and practices to ensure performance, scalability, flexibility and compliance.

Responsbilities:

• Support Corporate and Production workloads in Azure and GCP
• Assist in maturing the use of Azure and GCP within Somatus
• Assist in transitioning to infrastructure as code
• Assist in the expansion of IT Service Management and DevOps practice
• Deliver automated monitoring, remediation and configuration solutions

Required Experience/Skills:

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in Azure cloud environment with a focus on networking, storage, app plans, IaaS, policy and monitoring
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
• Knowledgeable of IT Operations and IT Service Management processes
• Understanding of cloud security
• Strong collaborative mindset to work across teams and with both junior and senior resources
• Be comfortable with a fast-paced, growth-oriented culture that changes and achieves quickly

Preferred Experience/Skills:

• Experience supporting GCP workloads
• Experience with Terraform
• Experience with Ansible
• Experience with Jira
• Comfortable and proficient with best practice documentation standards
