Junior Solar Electrical Estimator

Job Summary:
Our solar electrical contracting company is seeking a Junior Solar Electrical Estimator with take-off experience to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the estimation and bidding process for solar electrical construction projects. You will be responsible for interpreting project specifications and blueprints, performing take-offs, and generating cost estimates.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and other project-related documents to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
- Perform quantity take-offs for solar electrical construction projects including solar panels, inverters, batteries, and electrical systems.
- Collaborate with project management and purchasing teams to determine labor, material, and equipment requirements.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals for solar electrical construction projects. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and construction techniques related to solar energy.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.
- Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in solar electrical estimating with take-off experience.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and solar energy principles.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting project plans, specifications, and blueprints. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software programs.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to $65,000.00 per year
