ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • The position will be responsible for calling on a short list of target end users to drive growth for Dodge products. This list of end users will be identified with clear goals on the objectives to drive specifications for both MRO and Capital equipment spend.
  • Your time will be concentrated on developing relationships with Engineering, Reliability, Corporate purchasing and in some case at the local plant level.
  • In addition, you will need to work closely with the following teams to make sure we are driving specifications across the board at your target accounts.
    • Dodge FSE’s
    • Dodge Channel Team
    • Distributor corporate account teams
    • Engage where necessary with the OEM’s that build the capital projects via the local FSE’s
  • Accounts will be determined by the location of the applicant but the key industries that we are focusing on are Mining, Aggregate, Cement, Recycling and Food and Beverage.
  • Participate in Regional and National trade organizations to develop relationships and drive demand for Dodge products. It is critical to take and a leadership role in these organizations to make the right connections and truly drive business.
  • Customer relations: Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product & systems / services offering and align to provide a solution.
  • Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the sales process with full acceptability for the customer relation & experience.
  • Position requires the ability to travel an average of 60% of the time during a typical work week.
  • Develops, maintains, and shares detailed knowledge of the customer’s business strategy, purchasing behavior, organization, decision-makers, customer business drivers, economic trends and competition.
  • Ability to utilize internal resources to provide ongoing value added service and support to your targeted customer base. .
  • Utilize SFDC (Sales Force Dot Com) to identify specification activities.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or Industrial Distribution is highly desired and minimum 3-5 years of experience working in related field.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Dodge in the US.
  • Dodge product application knowledge with the ability to recommend suitable products to customers and to differentiate products from those of the competition.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to listen, understand, educate and influence customers/potential customers regarding products.
  • Capable of appraising commercial business situations, both internal and external and determining course of action.
  • Interpersonal Skills
  • Advanced negotiation skills
  • Trained to sell mechanical power transmission products in industrial applications.
  • Those who meet all other requirements with demonstrated experience in the field will be considered.
