Manufacturing Facility in Howell (Farmingdale), New Jersey

Support chemists in broad variety of functions including compounding, preparing emulsions and extracts and other processing. Performs physical and chemical testing using lab or pilot plant equipment. Provides feedback to Chemist including operations performed, observations, results. Must conform to recommended safety, quality and GMP practices. Maintains current raw material and packaging inventory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately compounds a broad range of cosmetics such emulsions, extracts, and liquid mixtures from formulations provided by the chemist.

• Prepares samples for testing

• Communicate with vendors and maintain costing/lead time documentation.

• Maintains a safe and professional laboratory environment; complies with government and company safety directives.

• Maintains equipment and organized inventory; requests purchase orders or work orders for required raw materials, equipment or repairs.

• Utilizes good communication skills, both written and oral; enters and maintains accurate and thorough records as required.

• Completes tasks in timely fashion according to priorities provided by a Master Chemist

• Performs other duties as assigned to support needs of business.

• May initiate PO for raw materials, equipment or parts.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• High School Diploma or GED. College level or equivalent coursework in Chemistry or Science preferred.

• Must be able to lift 30 lbs and stand frequently.

• Must use required personal protective equipment.

• Experience working with formulation and ingredients, knowledge of ingredients used in cosmetics.

• Good computer skills.

• Possess strong attention to detail.

• Easily interacting and collaborating with team members

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
