Job Description:
The Unskilled Laborer will possess competency in the following areas to perform his/her role in a safely manner.
- Transport required materials to specified locations on the jobsite by hand or using non-motorized equipment.
- Organize and stock materials.
- Place concrete by hand, come-along, shovel, rake, wheel barrow, etc.
- Set up for concrete pours; including hoses, chutes, wash out boxes, plastic, etc. Clean up of the same.
- Track on-site inventories.
- Transport tools and equipment.
- Jobsite housekeeping.
- Hand excavation and grading.
- Loads and unloads trucks by hand.
- Cleans columns, walls, floors, tools and equipment during & after pours
Job Requirements
:
The Unskilled Laborer will possess the knowledge, skill, and/or ability in the following areas essential to perform the functions of the position.
- High School diploma or equivalent; minimum of one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Possess Valid ID
- Ability to write routine correspondence, and communicate with co-workers
- Ability to comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure and apply associated math skills.
- Must have the ability to exert heavy physical effort, handling average weight objects up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb or crawl.
- Ability to tolerate heights without fear.
- Work involves exposure to outside weather conditions and dirt, dust, fumes, and/or loud noises.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, sometime early, late, and weekend as needed
