Job Description:
Specialty Granules LLC is seeking hard working and ambitious Laborers at its plant in Ione, CA. If you are looking for career advancement opportunities with a growing company, want to learn new skills, and like working overtime, then this is the job for you! Training is provided!
Laborers perform hands-on work with most tasks performed outdoors. Laborers assist their assigned department in providing customers with high quality products while ensuring the facility meets all safety and operational standards.

Starting rate at $23.22 - after 6-months, you will acquire skills that will help you achieve the next level at a pay rate of $26.88.

Position is full-time employment plus overtime, applicable shift differential pay will apply and be paid weekly.

Laborers perform physical labor, lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time. Work is performed outdoors. Laborers are subject to inclement weather such as rain, hot, and cold weather. Some areas will be dirty and dusty. The position will perform work such as dig ditches, holes and shovel piles of grit. Use shovel and broom to load wheelbarrow with grit and push to disposal area. Unplug chutes, clean up area of the plant, around crushers, elevators, conveyors as directed. Do any type of general labor, shovel snow from walkways, and use weed whacker as needed. Laborers are also required to assist in routine plant maintenance on planned down days. This includes helping with repairs and includes climbing ladders and carrying parts during the process of changing screens or patching holes in duct work throughout the plant. Must be able to operate mobile equipment such as bobcat loader, front end loaders, dump trucks, and vacuum truck as required. Ensure the plant area meets or exceeds all safety standards for SGI (guards, walkways…etc.) and all work is performed safely.
