Position Summary:

The Landscape Commercial Estimator will work on the Northwest Landscaping Sales Team. The Landscape Commercial Estimator will be responsible for carrying out take offs from blueprints and identifying material and labor costs for projects. The main duties of an estimator are accurately creating proposals, liaising with suppliers and sub-contractors for costs, understanding customer specifications, value engineering blueprints and proposing a final budget for a project.

Reporting Protocol:

The Landscape Commercial Estimator will report to the Northwest Landscaping Sales Manager. No direct reports for this position.

Experience, Education, and Skills Required:

· 2+ years of experience in related field required

· Preferred but not required a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, finance, accounting, statistics, or related field

· Ability to work independently

· Ability to put together a professional presentation

· Proficiency in mathematics, statistics, and data analysis

· Ability to work well on a team

· Very detail oriented and excellent analytical skills required

· Ability to understand technical drawings and requirements

· Expertise with analytic tools, such as spreadsheets, landscaping software and database managers

· Must be solution oriented and be able to identify value engineering suggestions to meet clients’ budgets

Position Function and Duties:

· Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for projects

· Estimate costs by looking at the entire project

· Present cost estimates to upper management

· Prepare reports detailing all the costs going into a project

· Input cost data into company database

· Look at customer requirements for a project

· Work with the sales team to prepare proposals

Typical Work Conditions:

The landscape Commerical Estimator work is performed indoors and outdoors, with exposure to all weather elements. This position is a full-time, Monday-Friday position that will only be in-person.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
