POSITION SUMMARY
B.A.T.S. is seeking a motivated, energetic, fast learning Lead Service Technician Northern California. Duties will include but are not limited to; Keeping all company equipment/fleet available for use by inspecting, diagnosing and repairing vehicles; completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters. Maintaining vehicle records by recording service and repairs. Service Techs work under the supervision of the Mechanic I and Fleet Manager.
POSITION DUTIES
Vehicle Maintenance
- Fluid and filter changes, Tire replacement and rotation, Brake system replacement and checks, Vehicle inspections, Vehicle Diagnostic, 40-point safety inspections, Emergency Response as needed.
- Equipment Work Orders
- Prioritize, schedule and complete repair orders; Minor Welding, Vehicle Diagnostics, Troubleshooting, Engine Repair, Electrical System Repairs, Assist Mechanic I & Fleet Manager as needed.
Data Entry/Inventory
- Track and monitor parts and tool inventory. Report any discrepancies. Suggest inventory purchases, purchasing as directed.
Training
- Provide support and guidance to all Service Techs.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE AMAZING AT B.A.T.S
- 2-5 Years of Service Tech experience in an Automobile repair environment.
- Self-motivated, detailed, and organized.
- Experience with parts inventory.
- Can lift up to 50lbs.
- Spanish speaking a plus but not required.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills (both written and oral). Must read/write in English. Comfortable speaking with internal customers and has a mindset to work with customers and satisfy their needs (a problem solver).
- Must be a self-starter, able to work independently, highly organized, self-motivated and a team player.
- Can read vehicle schematics.
- SAE Certification preferred but not required.
- Must be dependable and trustworthy.
- Clean driving record required no more than 2 points on record.
- Strong computer skills preferred (email, Microsoft Office software, etc.).
- Ability to drive a truck and tow a trailer/equipment.
- Welding Experience preferred but not required.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
