Position Summary:

Tidal Basin seeks a competent Lead Inspector to join the team supporting our client. The position will assist in one or more programs that provide property inspections for Sheltering in Home for Recovery Continuation (SHRC) program as part of the recovery effort from Hurricane Ian. Position Summary

The Lead Inspector will be responsible for oversight of a team of Inspectors for the Volusia County area. Lead Inspector will train and manage the team of inspectors providing damage inspection determination for homes.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Train inspectors on program inspections and requirements
• Administer field training and provide oversight of inspections performed
• Answer policy questions and provide reporting as required
• Collaborate with scheduling and other Lead Inspectors to ensure coverage of all counties participating in the program
• Resolve inspection scheduling issues
• Collect, review, and analyze data, and prepare reports
• Provide instruction to Inspectors and delegate tasks as required

Required Skills/Competencies

• Diligence, thoroughness, and excellent attention to detail
• Valid drivers’ license with reliable transportation
• Able to pass a background check
• Ability to create reports, schedules be proficient in MS Office suite
• Strong communication skills to successfully collaborate with program staff, homeowners, and other contractors
• Ability to provide training and guidance to Inspectors

Required Education and Experience

• Must have at least five (5) years of experience performing similar inspections, or actively qualified as a current inspector within the program

Desired Education and Experience

• Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and trade practices
• OSHA training certification
