Lead Software Engineer (Backend Java)

Backend Lead Java Developer (Atlanta or Redwood City)
Are you a Java Engineer looking for a new challenge in a company with an amazing culture?

This role will involve Java coding, interfacing with various other tools and other software.
Ideally you will have background in a mix of languages and systems and a passion for learning technologies.
Skills and Experience: •
- Java APIs
- RESTful
- Good knowledge of Java design patterns and software principles.
- Continuous integration and continuous delivery using DevOps tools like Maven, Jenkins, Git ,Github actions etc.
- Good knowledge of micro-services and API design principles (API development)
- Cloud infrastructure experience in GCP would be preferred but any Cloud experience such as AWS or Azure would be welcomed; or a desire to learn more.
- Good communication is key to achieving success in this role
- Some JavaScript experience would be useful

Responsibilities:-
- Java developer responsibilities include designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance
- Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
- Development and review of changes with a focus for design, efficiency, and quality
- Work as part of a team as well as working autonomously
- Prepare and produce releases of software components
- Contribute to improvements to the software development process
- Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review
