Whitcraft Leadership Development Program
We are currently seeking Top Notch, Entry Level candidates for our Whitcraft Leadership Development Program (WLDP) to work in multiple locations on a rotation across our Whitcraft manufacturing sites. The purpose of the program is to develop leaders for the future of Whitcraft.
The role will be heavily focused on programming CNC equipment and designs tooling for the manufacturing processes. This position maximizes efficiency by analyzing all aspects of manufacturing processes. Determines parts and tools needed to achieve product specifications and business objectives.

- You will enter the program and will complete three, 9-12 month rotations in different facilities throughout Whitcraft. The locations are flexible and to be discussed as part of the interview process. Whitcraft has locations in CT, MA, GA, OH, IL, & NY.
- One rotation can be your “home” facility, which will be the facility you will place out into after graduating the WLDP.
- For each rotation you will have the opportunity to perform the management of projects related to aerospace component engineering and manufacturing for new and existing parts and assemblies. Establish manufacturing methods and process sequence necessary to complete parts. Initiates tool design concepts and maintains close feedback with other manufacturing engineers, shop floor personnel, management and related customers and vendors. Troubleshoots manufacturing problems and implements method and tool improvements. Learn best programming methods of different machines and parts.
- For each rotation you will have the opportunity to be in a role in engineering and kaizen promotion office.
- Upon graduation from the program, you will have the opportunity to place directly into a role in your home facility.
- You will also have the opportunity to receive training and complete the Practitioner Level for the Whitcraft Production System (WPS) Kaizen Licensing Program. And you will receive other classroom style leadership training.
- You’ll partner to proactively identify and solve issues
- You’ll be on a team who acts in both strategic and tactical capacities providing full life-cycle Engineering support.
- You’ll work closely with business leaders to evolve and embed the people element of the business strategy.
- You’ll take a hands-on approach to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
- You’ll provide formal and informal partnerships to associates at all levels of our business in an impactful, collaborative, and consultative manner.

- Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline OR business.
- 0-5 years of experience in Manufacturing, preferably aerospace.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and other MS Office products.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, symbols and geometric tolerances based on military and commercial specifications.
- Basic understanding of Kaizen and its importance to the culture of Whitcraft
- Familiarity with specifications and requirements for aerospace component manufacturing that includes having knowledge of aerospace welding.
- Able to research, understand and implement new technologies for possible cost savings and process improvements.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well with others in a team-based environment.
- Under limited direction, prepare work to be accomplished by reviewing specifications and blueprints by conferring with engineers and customers.
