General Description:
The Lean Engineer is responsible for helping support our Production Operations and while working on Continuous Improvement Projects. Position also works in Lean Thinking, Continuous Improvement, Layout Optimization and Project Management/Execution.
Responsibilities include:
· Identify areas of improvement within existing processes in order to achieve higher efficiency and productivity
· Utilize lean manufacturing tools and concepts such as value stream mapping, line balancing, DMAIC
· Develop efficient production layouts which optimize material and information flow while maximizing space utilization
· Lead continuous improvement projects across various production departments
· Define and drive standardized work throughout all areas
· Implement, maintain and sustain 5S discipline throughout all areas
· Review and maintain KPI data to ensure consistency with customer and/or company requirements
· Provide training and support to all Operations personnel
· Ensure physical and workforce resources are adequate to meet the organization's production schedule and efficiency
Candidate requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred)
· Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing (certification is a plus)
· Experience with AutoCAD
· Strong ability to work and communicate effectively with the team and peers
· Strong problem solving and analysis skills
Position requirements:
· Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
· Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
· The noise level on the floor can be loud and ear plugs are provided
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
