Hedrick Gardner Kincheloe & Garofalo, LLP, a litigation and defense management firm with offices throughout the Carolinas, is seeking a workers' compensation legal assistant to join the Charlotte office. This position must be able to work in the office and remotely as needed. We are looking for an assistant with a great attitude who is willing to learn. The candidate must be organized, detail oriented, have a professional demeanor, be able to handle large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment, possess exceptional proofreading and written and verbal communication skills. Experience with case management systems and paperless work environments are a plus. Responsibilities include communicating with clients; scheduling; scanning and organizing documents as well as managing deadlines. The candidate must have worked as a legal assistant or in a similar role for at least one year and be proficient in Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat. Some experience with transcription is a plus. Great South Park location.
