Under general supervision, performs various data entry tasks related to library collection maintenance; answers
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Ability to perform various data entry tasks relating to collection maintenance, such as, check-in of periodicals, discharge of returned materials, item record maintenance related to new items and withdrawn items; and, entry of item records for new paperbacks.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
4. Ability to repair damaged books and audiovisual material.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Basic knowledge of automated circulation system functions.
Skill in utilizing Windows based (multi-tasking) software.
Qualifying Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED. Plus, six (6) months to one (1) year experience in a library environment. Pre-placement screening includes criminal history check, drug and alcohol testing, and physical.
