Position Summary

As a Solar Electrician, you're responsible for all aspects of a wide variety of Electrical duties from MPU’s, circuit relocations, and other given assignments as directed by your superiors, including installation, maintenance, inspection, operation, and repair for our residential clients. May include but not be limited to a variety of electrical operations duties. In addition, the ideal candidate will have high attention to detail and genuinely care for his/her craftsmanship.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License
• Clean driving record
• Valid Electrical contractor license
• Journeyman license is required
• Ability to pass a background check
• 4+ years of Electrical experience
• Residential solar installation experience preferred
• MPU and Electrical tie in experience: required

The ideal candidate would possess the following skills and attributes:

• Detail-oriented
• Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
• Electrical code knowledge
• Knowledge of basic trades: roofing, carpentry, plumbing, and metal framing
• In-depth knowledge of installation, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, wiring schematics, and electrical instructions
• Ability to make field changes and communicate with the Project Manager
• Ability to test voltages from 10V – 1000VDC / 120V – 480VAC
• Ability to communicate problems to the Project Manager

Duties & Responsibilities

• Installation of Electrical service equipment, wiring, and devices required to install residential solar PV Systems
• Evaluate systems accurately for maintenance, warranty repairs, design, and other purposes; diagnosis and repair solar and storage systems and electrical components
• Troubleshoot PV systems, repair and resolve electrical issues related
• Bending and installing conduit, pulling & terminating wire, cable, equipment, panels, and various control components and devices.
• Adhere, enforce, and monitor in accordance to company standards of installation and quality
• Work with local city and state inspectors to permitting
• Perform main service panel upgrades
• Tie in solar installation to main service panels
• Follow a safety program and attend safety meetings
• Complete QA inspections
• Ability to communicate problems to the Project Manager
• Provide detailed documentation regarding corrective actions, and ensure completion of corrective items to in a timely manner
• Submit service reports to the back office within a timely manner
• Ensure a quality installation experience for the customer
• Ensure all projects pass jurisdiction requirements.
• Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on safety
• Ensure proper job documentation is completed at the completion of each job

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
