Clearing is a digital healthcare platform built to serve the 50M chronic pain sufferers in the United States. In partnership with leading physicians and researchers at Harvard, Johns Hopkins, and the Hospital for Special Surgery, and with significant funding from top-tier investors Bessemer Venture Partners, Founders Fund, Breyer Capital, and a host of leading healthcare and consumer entrepreneurs (including the founders of Hims, Seamless Grubhub, Flatiron Health, Forward Health, Curology and more) we are on a mission to provide patients with access to comprehensive, opioid-free pain relief.
We are looking for a Licensed Nurse Practitioner to join us on a full-time, in-person basis in New York City. This is a high impact role that involves treating patients suffering from chronic pain in order to help them achieve a greater quality of life. Must be licensed in one or more of the following states: CA, NY, PA, IL, TX, FL, GA, MD, TN, NC or AL. Multiple state licenses and/or nursing licensure compact preferred.
What you'll do:
- Work with patients via phone/video chat and in our messaging platform to provide solution driven approaches to pain care-related questions
- Monitor patients, identify any concerns and adjust treatment plans as needed (including non-opioid prescription medications)
- Identify opportunities to loop in other care team members (physicians, health coaches, care coordinators) to meet patient's needs
- Maintain clear communication between patient and the entire care team to ensure all clinical gaps are filled
- Escalate patient cases to a qualified physician when appropriate
- (If applicable) Meet any requirements for supervisory relationships and collaborative agreements with physicians to be able to practice in your state(s)
- Work closely with our Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer in our New York City office, as well as other internal teams including Clinical and Patient Experience
What we're looking for:
- AANP board-certified NP
- Specialty of: FNP, A-GNP, ENP
- Clinical experience in treating chronic pain without the use of opioids or controlled substances
- Strong ability to empathize with chronic pain patients and provide positive support
- Able to work 40-50 hrs a week
- Licensed and in good standing in one or more of the following states: CA, NY, PA, IL, TX, FL, GA, MD, TN, NC and AL. Multiple states and/or nursing licensure compact preferred
- Preferred but not required: 1+ year of patient care experience in a telehealth environment (preferably at a digital health technology company)

Salary is based on experience, location, market value and other factors. Overall compensation packages at Clearing include salary pay, benefits, generous time off and other perks. Base salary range for this role is $125K-160K. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
