The LPN is accountable for assisting and working under the supervision of an RN in the delivery of nursing care. This position participates in planning, directing, delivering, and coordinating patients' care. The LPN assesses patients for educational, physiological, psychosocial, comfort, and safety needs. The LPN assists in teaching patients and family members. This position cares for the patient's environment, accepts responsibility for the personal hygiene of patients, carries out therapeutic measures as directed, assists with diagnostic measures as directed, administers medication and follows instructions of the medical provider under the Idaho Practice Guidelines.
