Inpatient Hospice Licensed Practical Nurse
Full Time 7AM-3PM Inpatient Staff LPN with $3500 Sign-on Bonus

JOB SUMMARY

Join our team today. For a short time we are offering $3500 sign-on bonus for full-time LPN positions hired. The Licensed Practical Nurse is a professional nurse, under the supervision of the Registered Nurses and In-Patient Care Coordinator, who provides direct patient care to the patient and the family facing a life-limiting illness. The Licensed Practical Nurse must possess necessary skills to interact with other members of the Interdisciplinary group as well as the patient / family, physician, and hospital. Functions within the scope of professional nursing practice as defined by the Mississippi State Board of Nursing.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ Training/ Experience:

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed in the state of Mississippi. A minimum of one-year nursing experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Currently licensed in the state of Mississippi
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license, and Social Security Card
• Must possess good oral and written communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides direct and individualized nursing care to an assigned group of patients under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Initiates individualized plan of care in collaboration with patient / caregiver, referring physician, and members of the IDT group, including appropriate and realistic goals.
• Prepares, administers, and records medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Communicates frequently with interdisciplinary team regarding patients' condition.
• Records information concisely, accurately, and completely.
• Works effectively as a team member in the delivery of care.
