Job Title: Licensure Programs Assistant
Summary:
We are looking for an organized, self-driven individual who is able to interface with various organizations within and without the BYU environment. The Licensure Programs Assistant is responsible for gathering data about programs on campus that lead to licensure, gathering information from state agencies about licensure requirements, and informing students about determinations relative to licensure.
This is a position with flexibility in working hours and the possibility of working remotely.
Essential Functions
- Keep an accurate list of BYU programs that lead to licensure
- Help determine if BYU licensure programs meet the educational requirements of licensure in each state
- Inform BYU students who are enrolled in a program that leads to licensure about determination
- Update BYU’s Occupationally Required Professional Licenses or Certifications website
- Represent BYU with NC SARA (National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement)
- Prepare and submit annual renewal application
- Prepare and submit annual report
- Work closely with a variety of college and academic support units
- Monitor and assist compliance with DOE regulations regarding licensing disclosures
- Responsible for maintaining student and prospective student location and notification procedures
- Responsible for data collection
Minimum Education/Experience Required:
- Some university experience as a student or employee
Preferred Education/Experience:
- Work experience at the university level.
Required:
- Ability to perform a variety of duties with minimal supervision.
- Ability to follow verbal and written procedures and instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work with and relate to a diverse group of faculty and staff.
- Ability to coordinate and assist in the preparation of reports and documentation.
Employee Class: 1/2 Time (17.5 hour)
