Black Gold Express, Inc. is hiring a line haul dispatcher in Fairbanks, AK

Job Description

The candidate in this position is required to safely and efficiently route, schedule, and dispatch truck drivers. This job routinely communicates with a variety of truck drivers and customers.

Job Duties

• Receive, process, and enter bills of lading and other transportation documents
• Interact with customers and truck drivers
• Receive and make phone calls before and after leaving the office.
• Track trucks and trailers via GPS system
• Update status on moves of driver and equipment in dispatch system
• Prepare permits and submit to AK State D.O.T.
• Working 40 to 60 hours weekly
• Verify accuracy of documents and make changes or corrections as necessary
• Review Pilot Car third-party invoices and prepare for approval
• Receive freight pickup calls from customers and respond to incoming phone calls

Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certifications)

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years related experience industrial, dispatch and/or transportation related work
• General level of use of Microsoft office, email.

• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure while meeting strict deadlines
• Ability to work independently and problem solve
• Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions; ability to write professional correspondence
• Exceptional customer service

Compensation

• $65,000-$90,000 D.O.E.
• 401k match program
