SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Line Mechanic for a Production line client in Broadview, IL. The responsibilities of this position include managing production mechanics in the daily operations of the assembly area. This person in this position is to ensure that the equipment needed to run the production line is properly maintained and set up as needed for the on-time startup of production lines.Available shifts:
6:00 am – 2:00 pm
2:00 pm – 10:00 pm
10:00 pm – 6:00 am
Pay Rate: $26-$34/HR.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Line Mechanic:
- Ensure all equipment is prepped and ready for startup.
- Perform equipment repairs as well as preventative maintenance
- Changes to the line to cut cost and reduce production labor
- Ensure on-time startup of production lines
- Troubleshooting equipment issues
- Maintain spare parts in an orderly manner.
- Work with production supervisors to increase efficiency
- Strong knowledge of Precision Finishing Systems machinery, Multi Feeder (MFT) machinery and Gavehren lines
- Strong experience with in-line attaching of cards/coupons onto carriers and plow-folding with glue
- Knowledge of Robo-tech hot-glue systems
- Experience with camera matching preferred (Data-Trak and QPRESS imaging computers for DPI)
- Experience with in-line inkjet (read/write) preferred
- 1+ years’ experience in a production, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
- Previous mechanic or machine maintenance experience in manufacturing or production.
- Proven track record of effective problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills.
